Do people not read.... It's only been stated many times that it is a dragster, not a daily driver street car. Sheesh people these days.

Interesting thet the engine seems to be sitting a bit high in the engine bay. It also appears to have a cast aluminium intake or perhaps they just painted the factory intake silver.

Its still the 3 valve though the valve covers make that obvious.

The other thing that people seem to be overlooking.... that's not a 4.6 sitting in the engine bay! That's a 3V 5.4L, which explains the reasoning for the oversized cowl hood. I'm wondering exactly what good that cowl is going to do anyway, considering the air intake and throttle body are located at the FRONT of the engine bay/motor, and not the BACK, where all that air is going to be channeled.

Paul's High Performance Mustang's have traditionally used Classic Design Concepts esthetic parts...side pipes, ect...
I would expect these parts to show up in the CDC catalog!!!
Minus the hood of course...

The hood makes it look like the Budweiser dog. You know the bull terrier ad. Maybe they can get it sponsored if they paint it white and black

I really don't like the hood & it seems like there is too much red there. Then again I hate the color red on a car (the last 3 cars my mom had was red, the 1st car I remember her driving had red interior, so I am sick of the color).

I like the overall look of the car just minus the red & the hood. JMO. Cheers mates.

The ducktail and black-out between the tail lights look pretty good.

I likey the same stuff.

I always hated cowl hood unless you have no choice for clearance. The ducktail is actaully pretty darn close to retro, I'd have to see better pics but it may be the best one yet, along with the front spoiler.

The ducktail is perfection! Louvered quarter windows look good too. As well as the black out between the taillights.

The hood is required for the engine, so no problem with it on a drag car. Now, if i see a V6 driving down the road with that hood, then i will point and laugh. But, it is needed for this car. As someone else pointed out, that is a 5.4 based engine. Who knows what the displacement is at this point though. It may be bored and stroked to a 6.0, for all we know. But this is the reason for the hood.

Looking at the back of that car though, makes me think Ford should have put that ducktail on the Mustang from the factory. It looks perfect!

Sorry, repeating myself.

Edit: As a side note I notice they changed the mirrors and painted them torch red to match the body. Those mirrors are perfect for this new body IMO.
Those look like the SN-95s mirrors, only painted to match the body. I was wondering if the older mirrors would fit on the new Stang as that was one of the things I havent liked about the '05. All small detail of course, but nice to know I can change it.

Actually Ford did consider a ducktail when designing the new Mustang. The reason they rejected the idea was because they needed to make a more visual distinction between the V-6 and GT V-8. This was in response to the V-8 owners who felt that the current generation models were too similar. Now because Ford intended to give the GT owners a spoiler option as one of the means of more easily distinguishing it from the V-6, it was decided that the ducktail with a spoiler looked to garish and the new Mustang was designed sans ducktail.
