Webmaster, please don't move this post to some Saleen page. I want to hear from regular Mustang people.
I personally think the 05 Mustang Saleen has an ugly rear design. The added length, cutting off a tail light, and then boxing the lights in is sad. I think it looks like an Olds Achieva.
What do you all think?

LOL, I wasn't going to say anything for fear that I would get stoned. But since you bring it up, it's fugly. It reminds of a 90's Nissan 300Z from behind. My feeling is that Saleen worked against the retro look. Not that it's impossible to do but this aint it. Maybe they should have gone with the flow and done something retroish. I only know I don't like the way it looks.

Nope, looks like when you add more clay to a messed up work, but by adding too much it looks worse.
This is just like that, too much rear end. Alot of that looks like useless excess.

I like the blue one cause it has the complete tail lights. The only thing I don't like is the SALEEN engraved on the bumper. It's not a look I want personally for my stang, but I enjoyed seeing a black one close up in person.

No offense to any 05 Saleen owners, but I've thought the car was an abomination since the first time I saw it. Pics and in person, it's a hodge podge of thrown together ideas that completely distract from Ford's fantastic design. The grille, lower fascia and rear end - ugh. What a shame too, IMO the pinnacle of Saleen Mustang design was the '99-'04.

I think the car is overkill with too many focal points. Less is more. That said I do like their quarter window treatment. Anyone know if they are available, where and how much ?

I dont like the ribbed black plastic paneling.I do see One in person many times(coworker has one)It didnt have that huge spoiler though. It is Sonic Blue.Honestly,I'm not sure if its the fact that it a Saleen or what but I stare at it every day.maybe its the 3o am last call syndrome? (I love this smilie)

I like the one pictured above. Only thing I would change, is remove the covers from the inside tails, so Sequentails would perform.
But, when it comes to their Supercharged body add ons I do not like those what so every! :notnice:

Overall, I don't like it. I appreciate some of what they were trying to do, like thin the outter edges by the tail lights, add depth to the tail light area and alter the look to be longer and more S7 like. I just don't think it works on this car at all.
I wish they would have designed a kit around the Mustang, instead of trying to force it to look like an S7 which it can never accomplish.
Not only that, you have to buy the center exhaust kit, so it isn't exactly a cheap alternative either.
