No discussions about the Roush Roadster??

Surprised there isn't a mention of the Roush Roadster here-just bought #99 of 100 at Tom WSood Ford in Westfield, IN-Red/Black two-tone exterior with red/black two-tone interior-has 427R package also.

Only planning on 1500 miles a year at most.

It's a really nice car, don't get me wrong... but it's just not all that interesting. Aside from the wheels and the paint scheme, it's all Roush stuff that we've seen before. Not much to discuss.

As soon as I can I will post some pics-the car just went to SHM for some further work on motor and other areas

Hoping that the 550hp, 500ft-lbs becomes a reality!!

In the meantime, I still have my other playtoys to have fun with, and I'm heading to Auburn, IN later this week for the Kruse Auction in Auburn, IN-hmmmm, wonder if I'll find another playtoy??

Been busy hauling loads to different parts of the country-the Roadster is back, and as soon as I get home for a few days I'll scan and post the dyno sheets, both before and after-a huge difference in the car's output now-before mods was 430hp, 445ft-lbs--after mods it's showing 610hp/650ft-lbs.

The transmission, suspension and braking components have been modified to allow that power to hit the road, and more importantly to bring it to a halt!!

I'm in Palm Springs, CA tonight-no idea where I'll be tomorrow night!!

Vista Blue Ebay Roadster Auction

price: US $79,995.00

Brandon Ford in Tampa, Florida have a Grabber Orange, a Torch Red, and a Vista Blue. Asking price is $58,828 on each. They have been posted on their web site for months and will deal. I would not be surprised if the dealer takes off five to six thousand dollars off the top. Perhaps rebates apply as well.

Over on FnSweet they are talking about this. Apparently it is a legit car. Jack kept #001 and then they produced 100 of them for the public. #002 to #101.

Thats what someone found out from Roush.

Wolf,

I gotta get some of what you're smokin. There ain't no way in he!! a roushcharged motor is going to get anywhere close to 600+ hp or tq. I don't think it is physically possible to spin that 1.6l compressor fast enough to make enough boos for that.

Paul

Oh, I don't hate Roush, I've got an 06 Sport Vert, the Roushcharger is just not up to the task.

Paul-

When Sean Hyland Motorsports did the work I requested, there was a TON of changes to the motor-first to go was the tiny Roushcharger, followed by, oh hell, the whole motor, basically! Block was rebored and sleeved to 5.0L, "Cammer" head assemblies, a Whipple 2.3l supercharger, Manley SS valves, 2618 forged aluminum pistons, Forged steel I-beam rods, SHM Forged Steel Custom Stroker Crankshaft to push to 5.4l displacement, and a host of other changes to the mill-that's how it's producing 600+HP.

For collectibility I buy Shelbys-this car didn't have what I wanted when it came to performance-now it does

Wait till you hear the sound file-went from Roush Rumble to all out roar!!!

I would hate to be the guy that bought the 'so called' last production car #100 of 100 and then find out there is a #101 of 101. Rememeber the first 100 said '** of 100' not '** of 101'.... If I was in charge of numbering a limited run of cars I wouldn't have screwed up that sequence that bad..
