I haven't sold Fords for a couple of years but if you're at $967 under invoice I don't think they much more room, if any, to drop. I'd say you've done pretty good. Now, if they charge a D.O.C. fee tell them you will not pay it. They'll charge you anyway, they have to, but that's a little more money they could knock off. Example, if you have a vehicle for sale for $15,000 and you're trying to make $1000 profit, and you have a $99 D.O.C. fee you basically have $1099 that you could knock off the car, but you have to charge the D.O.C. back or you'd be losing money, $14099 plus taxes would be the least youcould sell it for. Hope this didn't confuse you. It's another way for the dealer to make a little profit. Your salesperson isn't going to make anything on the deal you have now. You may want to consider slipping him a little extra. Remember he has bills and probably a family to feed.

Well, it was actually 767 < invoice (bad math on my part) and I think I could've squeezed a couple houndred more out of them. Unfortunately, I'm gettin' hosed on my Ranger and I refuse to roll all that -equity. So, I'm gonna list the Ranger for sale privately and see what happens.
