Where did you find that information TigerGT?
Hi 2&2

My fountain is alone for experience, since the same color is of the epoch Vintage as the Mach 1 1973 of a intimate.

I realized that the color can be equal to the code 2B-Red Brite by Ford.

Example in image without any retouch Mach 1 1973 and GT500 Cobra:

Link Mustang color guide ( codes in image epoch Vintage 1965 –1973 ) :

Thanks for the time you put into this question TigerGT. Are you just putting two and two together or do you know for real that they are using the vintage color. You aer right about the picture color looking the same. Also what is epoch?

Mind you that GT500 is in stage lighting (very bright)
Anyone seen Torch in really bright light?
It looks orange like the 73 there.

I personally think its torch....but thats just me

I dunno Boomer. In the pics of the GT and GT500 together the GT500 always looks to have a good bit more orange in it than the Torch red GT next to it.

I do not have the certainty if it is really the color of that epoch and this code.

But it is very probable that the mentioned code has been in use into The GT500 Cobra SVT....

(....more Carroll ; with all certainty , if is he of that epoch. )

Regards

In post #24, isn't the GT Redfire? Maybe that explains something?

Torch red is the same as coloraro red. 05 the marketing folks called it torch red but when the 05 ran through the paint booth the computers on the line called it colorado red.

It's SVT Red. It's a little more orange than Torch is.
Wow, this thread is still going, like I said, it's "SVT Red," at least that is what Ford called it in it's press release:

The GT500 now comes into full light, punctuated by the classic Le Mans-style white stripes that race along the top of the show car’s “SVT Red†paint from nose to tail. The stripes recall the Shelby Mustangs that marked another important 1960’s Mustang transition when Ford put it on the track to becoming a racing legend. The GT500 nomenclature is prominent in the lower bodyside racing stripe, another cue from the classic Shelby Mustangs.

Thanks Holderca1. Now I see where you got your info. I think that by calling it SVT red, they do not really have a name for it yet. The point of the question was to try to find out if it was a standard 06' color selection or not . Sounds like it is not. Heck it is even sounding like they do not know for sure if the 07' Shelby is even going to be made. Guess I will be painting my 70' Mach 1 the same color as the 04' Mach 1, Torch red. Or as the Flat Rock computer calls it Colorado red. Kind of like the brighter new reds. Maybe I should just paint it the original 1970 color, which is just called "RED". Thats to easy. Wish I could turn back the clock. Thanks all.
