the NEW BULLITT

A n/a 5.4 with close performance numbers to the 2K Cobra R's can be easily achieved. Add a T-56, a double vented hood, darker IUP, '01 leather seat patterns, the polished aluminum scuff plates is a nice touch, side window louvers like the '68, no spoilers or billet fuel door. 255 or 265 tires with 17 x 9 wheels. The rear "BULLITT" emblem would also be nice.
I feel confident Ford would do justice to a new Bullitt and would no short change it with cosmetics this time around, providing the decision is reached to bring it back.
Colors: Tungsten Grey, Black, and DHG.

Not really. If Ford wants to give the SEs respectable performance, it would be less costly and make sense for a tuned down n/a 5.4 than a s/c'd 4.6

Who says they plan to give such a substatial power increase? The stock GT is not too shabby right now. I imagine they will do something akin to the 01 Bullit or Mach 1... Putting an entirely different motor in it would bring it into the realm of SVT, and SVT already has a Mustang.

No one so far. This is pure speculation. I don't think a Mach 1 or a Bullitt would be introduced with an additional 10 or 20 hp over the GT, but somewhere in between the GT and the proposed GT500.

There has to be a car to fill the HP and Price Gap between the GT and GT500.
Something around the lines of 365-400hp and 35K would be very nice.
Hoping for a BOSS A Mach would be nice though
I agree with ya George, the 5.4 is more likely since it's cheaper than a suped up 4.6
I think a Bullitt would have about 20HP over the GT and cost about 4K more

I want it to be called a boss, and be offered in the original 1969-1970 boss 302 colors
i want the engine to displace 302 cubic inches
i want a 6 speed
i want the hood to be flat black
i want a black adjustible rear spoiler with the option of deleting it
thinned out sound deadening, and lightened glass
manual windows and door locks
solid axe or irs, as you can see in the rolex sports car series, the solid axle is doing just fine
oh and i want a 2005+ mustang body to be added to the current trans-am lineup.

i would want it as close to the original as possible. This body is perfect to make a perfect replica!
DHG
No Fog Lights,
No Spoiler
Some type of really black grill that you can't see
No Pony Emblem
18' inch black bullitts with a nice chrome center cap
Shelby/05 Concept lower fascia
Hood with openings similar to the '68 original
With the reported facelift reported and all, I would love for it to look like this one (forgot who created it ) just take off the pony

Plus interior needs the steering wheel from the '01 concept and seats with the same sort of buckets as the '01.
And don't forget 350 horses to back up the attitude!

because the SN95 v6 cars had that pony thing on them and it looks terrible.

How about a Boss 302 with the 5.0 cammer instead of another Bullitt?
[/quote]
no, a boss 302 with a 03 cobra motor/stroker with 302ci would be cool though

no, the mach 1 had a entirely different motor.

Yeah, the BULLITT just had a better breathing SOHC.
