This is almost as exciting as the GT500 intro (which in retrospect was a bit of a letdown 'cause we new so much about the car, what they showed at Detroit was nothing new).
Anyways, hope they go after the look of the "70 with some sort of lower rocker "straked" design rather than the mid-body stipe of the '69 (too much like the GT/CS which most people are iffy on) or the lower body stipe on the last generation versions.
Fingers are crossed !

So Roush will be handling producing the Mach1 eh? hmmm.
Is it just me or does it feel like it's not a real MACH1 when a company apart from FORD produces a SE Mustang. I know Roush is incahoots with Ford but they are still a separate Company. Whereas the last Machs were made within Ford by the Team Mustang group.
However i am extremely excited about having a Mach1. I dont want to sound unhappy about it. I just want to feel like I'm getting a Ford car and not a TUNER car apart from Ford.
Someone ease my mind here.

Mach 1 =
400 hp and N/A would be sweet. I don't know if I can handle ordering and waiting for another car so soon but it was worth the wait for the GT.
I'm sure it'll be one bad car!
The trend continues...
'05/'06 GT... as cool as it was in the 60's and 70's
'07 GT500... as cool as it was in the 60's
California Special... was it really that cool back then?
Mach 1... :worship:

but let's not forget that the Boss 429 was built at Kar Kraft, not Ford. And that didn't make the Boss 429 any less of a Mustang.
No you have a good point there. The Boss 429 is one of my all time favorite Classic Mustangs. I have a DieCast model one sitting right behind me as i type. And i now remember reading somewhere that Kar Kraft helped out with that one.
Don't worry Kevin, lots of manufacturers outsource their development to specialty builders, the final job will still go to Ford and it'll still be produced on the same line as ours were. For example, alot of the suspension development for the 05 was done by Multimatic - for Ford -leaving Ford to tool up after the designs were in and build them. Roush isn't big enough to bite off a production run (retrofiting stock GT's to Mach 1 specs) of what......10,000 or so.....a year. They're doing the development work, Ford'll produce them.
Thank you for putting my mind at ease. Ahh i feel better now.
