On the SEMA car, they were mounted by being snapped in place to a molded piece that replicated the roofline and side window panel. The whole assembly was then placed over the stock parts.

The mounting system will be different in the production parts, although I am not wholly certain what will be used. If I find out that information, I will pass it on here as well.

Where you at in Cincy?

Tony,

I'm a Westsider (Green Township/Delhi area). What about you?

Thanks for the info, appreciate anything you can offer on the louvers.

A grill delete part is expected to be available in the April/May 2005 timeframe, according to MRT.

Does anyone know if the quarter window louvers are $189 for the pair? I would think they are sold by the pair. And can you see through them? I will be getting quarter window louvers soon, but only want them if I can see through them.

You can place these items in your shopping cart on the site as of today's date -

Interceptor V6 Chin Spoiler 225.00
Interceptor GT Chin Spoiler 225.00
Rear Window 2-pc louvers 399.00
Interceptor Rear Window 1-pc Louvers 399.00
Interceptor Quarter Window Louvers 189.00
Interceptor "Duck Tail" Spoiler 295.00
Inteceptor Rear GT Diffuser 199.00

According to Scott Hoag, company president, MRT is taking orders now, though not all of the parts are in stock yet. If a not-in-stock part is ordered, the customer is notified of the estimated ship date and no money is taken till the part ships.

According to Scott Hoag, MRT president, the price is $189 per pair. Also, you can see through them, but its more obscured than a window that has no louver.

According to Scott Hoag, MRT president, metal plates are bonded to the glass, then the rear edge clips together and the forward edge is mechanically fastened. They will come raw, ready to paint. However, MRT is looking at a company that will be able to paint them body color. They need to verify that the quality of finish and the color match is acceptable before going forward with that option.

Will MRT be coming out with their headlight covers? I thought that was one of the neatest features on their SEMA car.

That is in the plans currently. Scott Hoag estimates it will be the summer before a product announcement is made.

Yes this is EXCELLENT news - I got a reply direct from MRT a few weeks back concerning this since I emailed them about it. I NEED to have these on my Black GT....

Can we get more specifics on the details of the covers?.... (installation, functionality, etc.. I know its way too early for price yet...)
