Yeah, like what? The Shelby name? The Cobra emblems?
Face it, it is a $19k car with a $19k engine. Nothing else on the GT500 says anything special to me. Even the exterior look poorly put together in the details, at least in those pics (truck-like ride height, poorly flowing front chin to rockers, small wheels, cheap looking ricer hood "exhausts" that don't even look like they work, tacked on spoiler, etc.). I would expect more from a $45k car, and let's hope they deliver come production time (though I doubt it if they got Shelby out to take photos).
However, for those who think only about power, there is no better car, and probably never will be.
(that just isn't me)

There is MUCH more to this car than a $19K Mustang. If what you've stated above is all you know about this car ,I'm not going to take the time to educate you.Go see for yourself. I guess the wheels would be "small" if you prefer those really charp 22's. Do the hood exhausts work? Ask HTT. I doubt you'll ever drive one, but that would be a good time to make all those judgements. You're probably right...it just isn't you.

Where's this $45k figure coming from? Edmunds says under $40k for the coupe and vert.

Coupe $35k and vert $39k maybe?

Now, if everything else from the concept car makes it -- the 14" Brembos, leather dash, two-toned seating, front splitter, rear diffuser, functioning hood and 19" wheels (which we already know are dead) -- it still wouldn't change the fact that the main selling point is the blown 5.4 engine and the Shelby name.
Nothing wrong with that, just don't kid yourself otherwise.

Personally, my ultimate choices for features would be:
1) More aesthetically appealing "scoops" on the hood (that actually look like scoops, instead of commercial air conditioning vents)
2) A better integrated ducktail (more like CDC)
3) 19" wheels (option officially gone)
4) Proper ride height (none of this 4X4 crap on a car like this)
5) Retention of the full leather interior (no-one knows if we'll actually get it or not)
6) Better bolstered seats (supposedly are being worked on)
6) Custom side mirrors, at least partially body-colored (could still happen, I hear)
7) HID headlights (also could happen according to one Ford rep)
...and oh yeah, leave the gall darned S H E L B Y letters on the car's backside! Is it a Shelby, or ain't it?!
Everything else is just gravy.
