Shelby.

 

Ford Shelby GT-500 is the official name, I think. But "Cobra" or "Shelby Cobra" or "Mustang Cobra" or "GT500" or "Shelby" all get the point across.

 

Well, I just went to the SVT site and it says Shelby Cobra....hmm is that just marketing or what they plan to call you think?

All of those names together gets pretty long winded. They may split up the brands to maximize customer base.

 

You know I am just happy to see a "svt cobra" thats separated from the GT in more ways than just a supercharger and a few valves.

Wow....5.4 liter. This is sick speed I tell you. Oops, I mean a wonderful driving machine to take me from point A to B.

I've just been calling it the Shelby. Like Peter said, all the names will work. I just like the ring of my Shelby.

 

Mustang Shelby. Simple as that.

 

I've had problems with its name also. I've been calling it GT500, but Crazyhorse is right, "My Shelby" has a very good ring to it

Sounds good to me. As long as it says Cobra somewhere. Makes me feel cool that i drive one.

 

Ask five vintage Shelby GT350 owners what they call their cars, and you'll get 5 different answers.

 

I call it the new Cobra.

 

Fast enough to get take you down the block to 7-11 for a quart of milk and get you back home before you left!

In other words, just call it F-A-S-T.

 

You can also buy ice cream and be home before it melts in the summer. Maybe not at the legal speed limit...

And I just call it Shelby or Cobra depending on who I am talking with about it.

 

Ford calls it a Shelby Cobra GT500. I will call it mine.

 

I'll call it The Mistress since that is how much it is going to cost.
