Also, for all the people saying they are dying to see the back, it has a ducktail spoiler. AAAAAaargh! And it's $40k. And they are only making 7500. AAAAAaargh! I want one.

The front end looks similar to this Shelby pic. Someone else posted this pic a while back. I would like to see some foglights like in this pic.

Forget the hp/displacement discussions of automotive enthusiasts. We should rank threads in terms of thread length/surface area of photo.

I'm so bloody excited about this car, it looks sooooo sweet. Props to Motor Trend for a sweet cover. Can't wait to read that article, i wonder if they actually got to drive it at all... You guys think this is a fully functional car? I hope so...

I keep looking for people to talk to about this car, i'm so darn excited. My girlfriend's pretty tolerant actually, and my mom was pretty interested seeing as her name is Eleanor...

I think i'll have to wait till i get back to school, the mechanical engineering building should be quite excited.

Only three criticisms, all minor:

1. I'd like a smaller Cobra emblem, like on the previous SVTs. I think it would add a lot of "meanness" to the look if it were placed in the center.

2. Is it just me, or does the front fascia look like it's smiling?

3. With all the GTs with Shelby stripes, the Cobra won't be as distinctive on the road.

I, too, would like to see the inboard center foglights. Maybe the fog lights are not in the grille because the radiator needs as much air as possible. Might be a clue as to what engine lurks beneath the hood. Then again, the car could just be a concept, and the production version will have grille mounted foglights.

I'll bet the stripes will be optional.

SVTs are known to have round fogs in the bumper....and if they had them in the grille it would only make it more like its smaller brother...so you can bet on this being a production version

Well for those of you who were disappointed that the S197 didn't look more like the concept....your car has arrived.

At least from the front it looks a lot like the concept. The vertical bars inside the lights are slanted more like the concept than the GT/V6.

Like others have said, I bet the rear will look similiar to the concept too.

1. Easy and cheap to change if you want to.
2. Have you seen the new Corvette?
3. compared to all the GTs without stripes?

I definitely prefer the cobra off to the side. In chops i've seen with the cobra in the centre, i feel its off balanced, oddly enough. I think it just not a good emblem to put in the middle, maybe cause its not symmetrical.

There are tons of '05s (both GT and V6) running around here and I have yet to see one with Shelby stripes. I don't think it's as common as you think.
