I bought my 05 GT thru the military dealer overseas on my way back in 04. Just curious as to whether any of you other military guys out there have looked into being able to order a GT500 thru AAFES?

I plan to be back overseas by the end of 06 - so I'll probably order an 08,..............hopefully an SE if possible.

I'm a civilian contractor and I heard that you can't order a Ford SVT car or truck due to service not being available (at least not in Korea). I will ask the Military Sales guy about ordering one for stateside delivery.

This is a good question. Originally you could order SVT products, until '98. Then they stopped for some reason.
I was over in Korea a few months ago and was told "No SVT products." because they are not available at all Ford dealers. However, since Ford is restructuring how they sell SVT, I bet you could make it work. I know that you could have ordered a Ford GT (40) but they (AAEFES) had already sold thier one allotment. I bet that guy made a killing. I seriously considered looking into a Z06, but they also mentioned that they were going to drop GM from the program.
If you find an answer please post. A new Shelby at dealer cost would be worth some TAD time.

Well, it'll be a mininum of 9 months before I get back into a location where I can research it. but it will be one of the first "leisure" things I do when I get there.

It would certainly be a great loophole!
