That is why the hood vents need to be there. it releases the pressure under the hood.

One of my favorite Mustangs had the vents in the hood. Sorry to butcher this but I can't remember if was the 68. I thought those reverse vents looked great on that hood. I hope that Ford and SVT come to their senses and give us some functional reverse scoops.
