Any Lightning based off the new F150 will be a dog. F150's weigh 77483655947 pounds now.
My fathers weight 7200 lbs empty. That truck needs a diet like Anna Nicole Smith did.

Ford has officially surrendered the supertruck market to Dodge without a fight. What about all of the comments John Coletti made about reclaiming the crown from the SRT-10? I will only be able to sleep at night by telling myself that Ford pulled the rug out from under Coletti, and that is why he retired in protest.

That was the old sport track you are thinking of, the one off the old explorer platform. This one is off of the new platform, with IRS and all the goodies, like rollover prevention. Its also more towards the size of the 2g lightning than one based off the new f150 would be.

The Adrenaline is lowered, has AWD, 4 wheel independent suspension, and a 6 speed (automatic). With 390 horsepower, its smaller size, and AWD it should be faster than the lightning and handle better.

I noticed that it has the auto also. Makes one wonder if perhaps that new 6 speed can handle the torque of the 5.4 and if perhaps it will show up in an SE at some point.

ATTENTION ATTENTION ATTENTION Just got back from the new york auto show! WOW!!! The best show Ive ever been too. And I spent most of my time staring at the SVT / Shelby Cobra GT500. (5.4L, 32 valve V8, more than 450HP, & over 450 Ft/lbs of torque, and a T-56 6 speed gearbox. And its supposed to be ready for production in 2006

I'll try to post some pics soon. The FORD side of the show was packed solid, could barely move. If only Ford could actually make the cars in a reasonable amount of time, Im still waiting, still no build date. If I have t wait for a 2006 I might just wait for the GT500, and hope I can afford it!
There was also a Saleen in the lobby that had 400HP, not the 325HP version that Ive been seeing at the dealerships near me

Yes, those product specialists were still there as of Saturday.

Another mistake by the specialists on the mic yesterday, the guy presenting the Adrenalin said that it was the first time a SC engine had ever been atttached to a Ford with an Auto. I guess he's never seen the latest Lightning.
