Wow that is some hobbie you have there, I think I just may have to try but will need a differnt camera I currently have a SonyDSC-F828 8 meg

should be plenty of camera to take good pictures.

A friend of mine uses a sony digital for most of his shooting (though he has recently started using SLRs now). Check out his work here: http://www.aaronpowell.com/Photography%20Gallery.html 95% of those were taken with his sony I believe. It's an F707 or 828, one of those I think, one of the 'swivel lens' type cameras. 8mp is plenty, my shots from 2004, 2005, and early 2006 in my gallery were all taken with a 4mp Canon 1D.

4 to 6 seconds shutter speed, then rotate the camera slowly. You can add a bit of jerky motion to your rotation to accentuate the ribs/waves in the image. For the 1st shot I rotated probably 90 degrees, for the 2nd shot a bit more than 180 degrees.

Scott, I'm not exactly sure what sparked me to do those last images, I don't usually do super abstract stuff, just got in the mood I guess. Not even really sure what made me think to shoot them that way, but I'm glad I did, lots of folks seem to have expressed positive feedback on them.
