Haven't had much time to work on the Crimson sky pic.

 

Doug you sure no how to put a thorn in my side.

My mech was drawn with an esablished light source...when i try to add a missle and add some extra light from it it doesn't look right...

I figure something out...but its not easy

 

OK Doug i decided to go this route.





Some changes i made....

1) The missle launchers looked to fake and flat so i add a little glare around each missle barrell.

2) I added some faint stars in the sky to show it becoming night..

3) and obviously i moved the mech added different shadows and added the big green laser beam!

and after going back and looking at some earlier drafts...

the little glare on the missile launchers REALLY makes a difference

 

HAHHA very very cool look man! I like it !
wasn't trying to be a pain with the missle idea..it was just a thought. I was pituing it amost hitting the viewer because of the angle of that right side missle rack
But the Laser is all good man!
