hm... they have an interesting style (style being a result of the heavy ringing/blending), but I think it's way to much, to much ringing and blobs of contrast. To 'filtered' looking for my tastes, a nice smooth HDR would look much better in my opinion.
I think they look amazing!
I like them very much!
I like 'em. I've recently started dabbling with HDR. Unfortunately, every day off that I have, it's raining, so I haven't been able to get many good pics for playing with. But here's a couple I've done. And yes, I know these are a bit over-filtered for some. But that's why I like them.

Here's the rest of my photos. Hoping to get a lot more, and better this year.

Those are cool, but way overfiltered to me.
When I think of HDR, I think of something like these: http://www.tofahrn-foto.de/Night/index.php?lg=en

I agree those are beautiful pictures. I use both methods. It depends on my mood. Those were practice on high filtering. Sometimes I want ultra-real, other times I want absolute surreal.
What you call an "HDR" isn't actually an hdr, yall have been 'tone mapping' (crushing down their range) down to an LDR again.
I like to blend my exposures by hand, here is 3 exposures. (basically, tone mapping by hand)

Yes, these are way over filtered, but they are still HDR images. They are tone mapped bracketed exposures. And they were also experiments. These may fit more into what you think of when you think HDR

HDR means there are values above the 255 RGB scale, tone mapping brings those values down so that you can look at the entire range of exposure, but the HDR is lost
I'm just being difficult though
