Seems like MSRP. My local dealer has been discounting the V6s coupes $1,700 - $2,000 and they are not the only one.

you should pay 21, then after all fees and tax you should pay about 23.
So unless he meant 23 out the door it's not bad.

I got that same vehicle, but I have an Auto and Shaker 1000. I paid 21,900.00.

You can see my options are similar, and I paid 21,150 for mine. After tax title & registration it came to about 23 even
So I would try to pressure him to give it to you for 23 out the door, that way you are paying low 21k without counting the required fees. It looks like a well packed V6, hopefully he'll bite.

But my dealer was asking me to pay extra if I want the spoiler and the stripes...what should I do?

Just get the AFTERMARKER spoiler and install it or get installed by the dealer?? :scratch:

Someone in the country has that car, and Im sure you can find it. You said something about stripes/ spoiler? I had an OEM spoiler installed for like 300? Aftewards. I wouldnt consider letting Ford do any striping. 4" stripes from hood - trunk with a huge gap look bad. Unless you meant a side panel stripe, and I think anything looks horrible on black, anyway IMO .

I have the same car minus the anti-theft and int upgrade and paid 18Kish before tax. tag and title.

I meant side panel stripes and a OEM spoiler, which is gonna be added to the existing price...but i was thinkin about buyin the aftermarket spoiler (those new one's with M3 spoiler look). Anyways, u got really good deal on urs ZODIAC (any tips on how to deal with the dealer, really appretiate ur help). I hope that the dealer won't ask me too much for that car .... Imma be sticking to 23,000 (out the door) not more than that..... we'll c on friday how much he wants!! thx for ur replies guys...

Its really hard to say how to deal with any dealer. When I went in it was back in Decemeber, and the demand for v6s was even lower than it is now. I just made it clear to them that I knew they werent moving as well as GTs off the lot and didnt feel I should pay markup on them as such. Mine wasnt "exactly" what I wanted, and that helped a little bit as well... though I think they knew I wasnt going to wait either. I mostly consider myself more lucky than much of a haggler.

I still vote against side panel stripes on black, but its purely opinion. If you want 'em, get 'em! Do a little shopping around town and get some quotes if you can. If they're lower, have them ready to show at the dealership. I know my dealership here doesnt do any of this work themselves (stripes/spoiler) and contracted it out to local shops.

If you really would rather have something besides the OEM spoiler, let them know that! I would definitly not pay for something I didnt want, or when I would rather have something else. They can break up the package, and give you one or the other if you want.

As someone else suggested, I believe, with it being this close to the '06s being released, I would try to use that as a bargaining tool. Try asking a few general questions and seeing how many of those they think they will be getting in. And see if they think the 05s will still be moving then, or if they will offer any deals on them. And.. you can always ask the manager to get in his little computer and look up the car for you. They should be able to search the entire country. The only downside to this is if dealers are asking the same or more for the same car.

Sorry I cant give any real advice, Im just trying to help where I can.

the dealers in my area arent having a problem moving V-6s.
I paid 20k for my V-6 which is an auto-deluxe, nothing on it but the automatic, this was in January.
