I did ok. I though my car would have been at least 14.9 but all I clould get it too is 15.1, It's a lot different on a track I realized then on the street. The best way for me to describe it in two words is "mall pavement" similar too the mall parking lots that they have here in Arizona. lol The track is a lot slicker, I relized how bad I need the t-lok & gears, my 6th run I dumped it in second too much which would have just chirped and cought and went on the street, but on the track I spun all through 2nd gear . I got wheel hop in the first run in 1st gear cause I think I took off to hard Those LCA's and a shifter wouldn't hurt eather, I really want to start looking into a S/C or T/C though. But all in all I had fun and the best part of it is that is was all legal!!! I've never really got to open her up like that on the street (ok meybe once or twice) lol I saw fazm there also.

Oh and I have some noob questions since this was my first time at the track. What the heck does the "60", "330" and "1000" mean in the timeslip?

And I was not heating up my tires, I read if you burn out on street tires It will have the opposite affect and will not grip the track as well as oppossed to DR's & Slicks is this true? Should I have let out a little pressure, use the waterbox and heated them up? I was told not to go in the water box with street tires cause it will track water all over the track lol True yea?

That's a fine first outing!!! Nothing wrong with those time!

The 60, 330 and 100 are feet... you'll hear us talk about a 60 foot time...

On street tires you want to drive around the waterbox and then back into the water. Roll forward out of the water... Then give the tires a quick spin just to clean them... Do not do the burn out in the water! You don't need to do a big burn out or heat them up.... just a quick spin...

Nice times! On street tires you shouldn't do a burnout, it won't help you much. A quick spin will clean the tires off though. A burnout only helps with tires that are made to get sticky when hot. With street tires and an open rearend, just launch from idle. The 60, 330 and 1000 are your times at that point on the track, in feet. 60', 330' and 1000'. It helps to know that, especially for the pros, to know where you need improvement. The 60' times let you know how well you launched for instance.

Practice makes perfect (or darn near it lol)

I like how you put that man! lol Do you think the gears and tlok would help me meybe get to 14.999 lol. They put that I was a 14 sec car on my window and I couldn't even get out of the 15's lol

I saw some high 12 secend Acura's!!!!! How the heck do these kids and I mean kids (17 - 19 years of age) get there cars up to the high 12's so easy??? It really blows my mind and kinda in a funny way it pisses me off!! lol I don't make a lot of money but I know I make more or at least as much as 17 year old. Are Imports just cheaper in the aftermarket catogory? Those suckers were running better than some GT's and Z28 Camaro's!!!!! I don't get it. Makes me think twice about them but there just not my style, only see my self in a Camaro,Mustang or somthing domestic of the sort. I mean an Acura just looks like a normal car. Are mustangs have class to them, an Acura or a honda don't, At least to me they don't, so when they pull 12 seconds I just don't comprehend lol I could go put a turbo in my car right now for about 6,7 grand and barely be making 12's Are these kids rich? Or does a turbo for them cost as much as Exhaust & Intake did? lol

It's your first time out man, keep that in mind!!! Some of the imports make speed quick on the juice, I really don't know. I did spank a 94 integra on juice today and I was running NA, so I'm stoked. Got a rice kill! Ask Fazm, he knows the import scene. I think he spanked a heavily modded Eclipse GS recently. LOL.

GSX actually lol.

Its really easy to do CAMS on those SOHC and DOHC import cars. Everything is right there, and relatively easy to do. If they do cams, intake, headers, disconnect their exhaust, and put some nice tires on there, take out any unnecessary(i know thats spelled wrong) weight, its easy to get them into the low 14s, and high 13s. 12 seconds on the other hands, usually takes laughing gas (nitrous)

Even turbo'd they wont make it to the 12's? So they don't haft to do anything too major to get there cars up to par huh

I feel so behind in the arms race lol I see you guys putting mods on like money ain't a thang lol. Im barely paying off my tune. lol I depend on working Saterday. All the money I make on the side (Saterdays) go's to my car mostly. My normal 30 - 40 hour checks pay the car and insurence but If I didn't do work on the side I wouldn't be able to add anything aftermarket. Like today, I just made $400 in like 5 hours but thats to payoff my dyno tune that I had done like a month ago. I haft to try and save more money so I can pay cash too, I have a want now pay later habit with the plastic. lol I never get in over my head. Next week my buddy and I are going back to the ladys house to paint the ceilings and we get $400 a piece!!! Then I need to put an add in the paper for more work!!! Cause we have nothing lined up. MORE WORK!!! lol I work hard for the little mods that I have lol I guess the gears and Tlok are next, I really want a shifter. Sometimes I feel like its not worth all the money eather. I almost don't even want to spend $800 on gears Tlok i just want to save up for the SC lol but it would be pointless to have all that power and have a open diff.

My buddys 2003 Acura RSX type S with full exhaust, CAI, Hondata(like an SCT PRP) and 2 or 3 more bolt ons pulled 12.8 at 105 mph. They respond well to turbos also, theres another RSX that has a built motor and a homemade turbo kit doing 10.7 a 128mph. They can be made to run but it takes as much or more money than doing a domestic. Congrats on the runs Rick , with that MPH all you need to do is learn to launch the car and you should be in the 14.5-14.7s also, take a couple of courses with Fazm, lol, or get a pair of drag radials and take the driver out of the equation.Good Luck.
