v6 sound

hey guys....im tryna get my v6 to be loud but im broke....i know if i cut my cats, the sound would be louder. except for bad emissions is there anything wrong with this? would i be compromising any performance? Would you recomend it? thanks

Your car is optimized to run with the cats in place-also it is against the law in the US to remove a catalyst. Best bet is to find a GT take off muffler-they are available here on these boards and also can be found on ebay. Try Mike at themustanghookup.com

I'd agree. Just get a GT muffler and replace your stock one. It'll give you a sound increase a little. This is what I did when I had my V6. Then a month or so later when I had some cash, I got the left side muffler and had an exhaust shop run me true duals with a custom h-pipe and it sounded pretty good for a V6. Good luck!
