V6 CAI w/Tune - Dead battery

My neighbor has a v6 with a CAI and tune. His battery died yesterday and had to get a new battery. When the battery was replaced his CIL lit up on the way home. When he got home we threw a code scanner on and it was showing Bank to lean. By changing his battery did his computer some how revert to stock?

Same setup. Never had a problem with disconnecting the battery and losing the tune. Weirdness.

Where is HIS tuner? He should have a SCT or a Predator of his own...shouldn't he?

He didn't buy a combo... he had someone install it. They did the tune on the car.

hmmm then I would go to the shop were he got it cuz apparently they must of not changed the actual computer and instead must of dumped a program on top to compensate for the new CAI because on the hand held ones the computer code gets rewritten and that will not delete if you disconnect the battery so maybe it was placed on top of the code just to alter some parameters instead of a whole new code so it was deleted just like the radio stations

Shop folded up....
I cleared the CEL with my brother-in-laws scanner. I haven't seen him in a couple of days to see if the light came back on. MAF was reading between .48 and .50 lbs/M at Idle. It went to .80 on reve to 4000. I'm assuming I'm looking at the right reading.

what kind of cai? is it one that requires a tune to run it? i had a rich code on 1 bank off and on must have been on the edge. got corrected in the tune. some time later i had rich codes both banks and had to replace the maf. he can clean the maf and tb and it might help. i`m thinking the battery didnt play a part.
