I'm new here, but I know most of what's been said about this combination.

I ordered in early Aug. and of course have no VIN etc because of the manual. (I'm not the only one I presume)

I'm curious to as if the IUP shortage will affect these cars since they were specifically held back to the late production date. I know they are laying off IUP for the v6's in general, but was curious if anyone knew if at least a certain amount of the v-6 5speeds will get the IUP right from the start.

Also, if they are starting production on the 29th, when would one expect vin, build date..etc for these cars?

Any additional information or speculation on this would be appeciated!

My speculation is; you won't see IUP in any V6 until the supply shortage (related to the MyColor option) is resolved. Six cylinder ponies will no doubt be able to get the "IUP Lite", the 18R option we're hearing about.

As far as build dates and VIN's are concerned, that really is anyone's guess. Lotsa folks who ordered months ago are still awaiting them, others have received theirs. A lot depends on the product mix FOrd wants on dealer lots. If your order fits that mix, you'll see yours sooner. If not, well. . .
