I'll take a stab at it.

1) Your drivetrain is only going to take more abuse theoretically when you stomp on it (WOT). This should be an infrequent occurance unless you spend all your time drag racing. Well, for most of us.

2) Without the lag, the result will be wheel spin. Wheel spin is actually a good thing for the driveline as the "strain" is passed to the tires (and asphalt). Without a T-Lok, all that torque is going over to 1 tire and it will spin more easily. It's only if you were to get sticky tires, drag slicks, or a T-Lok rear (to eliminate wheelspin) when you now pass all those torque forces to your driveline and abuse it.

PS. The charge from AA finally showed up - no discount
