Was a good day today.... nice and cool... Car ran great! Did learn a few things. The 100HP shot with the new tires really hits pretty hard. Needed to back down a little on my launch. I also tried letting some air out of my tires.. that seemed to make things worse... best run was with tire properly inflated...

Ok.. now for the numbers...

60' - 2.128
1/8 - 8.878
MPH - 80.27
1/4 - 13.770
MPH - 100.37

Here's the the slip:

Its getting much better Scrming!! The run looks like you did the best you could...

A stock GT runs 13.4's, but has about 276 to 280RWHP.. This is helping the GT towards the middle to the last 1/8 of the track..

So it appears we pretty much have to overshoot the GT with the 150shot to beat it? Or the 125 will most likely do it I guess..

Actually, looks like the 125 SHOT is the magical number for V6 and GT equalization..

Also Scrming, did you get a chance to look at the engine trap speed?

I calculate your engine trap speed at 5027RPM based on 27.5in tires.. This means you have a way to improve.. You need a 125 shot, or 150shot.. If we can get the engine trap speed closer to 5500rpm, you could do better than 13.4 ET..

So slap in the 125shot jets, and call me in the morning!

Actually I need to let Lidio make a few passes... that 13.4 (some say 13.5) is with a very experience driver (which I'm not) and my guess is that driver is average size... again... which I'm not... We can shave 120 pounds off the car by having Lidio drive! LOL! Hopefully I can convince him to get behind the wheel this weekend or the next.. LOL!

Man.. that 100HP was really hitting pretty hard today... I'm not sure I'ld feel comfortable going to the 125HP... We may tweak the tune however....

I am however encouraged by your track time on the 7.5 Ford Racing trac lock without a girdle.. Your car has made numerous passes with well over 350ft lbs of torque, dead stop launches.. Your a true pioneer for the brute force pure V6 parts only setup.. I think your car is doing just fine with you in it Scrming! I would have loved to see the video of the race.. To see how the car looked as it launched off of the line..

My feeling is the 125 Jets really are the sweet spot, to bring the V6 to the performance level of the GT.. Now we know the 150 shot, will give to you a low 12sec V6.. The 175shot should be good for an 11 sec V6.. You do understand that your goal is to stabilize the car enough to run the Zex kit at its peak? At some point, the 175 shot must be used.. Prepare yourself to own an 11sec 05 V6 at some point in the future.. You must start to think 175, and 11 sec.. These are the numbers, which legends, superstars, and pioneers focus on.. Why? Because they are what was meant to be.. Zex did not make the kit for 100shot.. They made it for 175.. For you achievement comes with putting to rest a stock GT's performance number.. Until this happens, success cant be realized.. You must realize your success in order to appreciate it..

scrming, think the new tires helped grip better, or mainly just the smaller diameter of the tire? or another factor?

don't forget I went from the 75 to 100 jets... LOL! I'm not sure if they grip better or not... I don't know how the old BFG would have handled the 100HP shot.. With the 100HP I difinitely had to lighten my launch up... So... next years project will be the suspension work or what ever (maybe more new tires! LOL!) so I can get the car to hook better... I would think that would put the car more in the mid-13's... possibly low 13's... and if I lost 100 pounds this winter... that would be good for another .1 sec... LOL!

I'm going to the track this satruday and next... hopefully I can improrve on the 13.77....

Yes, the 14.4 was the 100HP but it was at a different track... when I told Lidio I had gone to that particular track he said, "you couldn't hook could you?" LOL! Needless to say I won't be going back to that track anytime soon! LOL! It is terrible!

The 13.77 was at the track where I ran the 14.004 with the 75HP shot. So... once again I changed to many variables to know what made the improvements... LOL!

I'm supposed to be going to a yet another track this Saturday but so far the weather forcast doesn't look good... ARGH!!

I'm also planning on going to Norwalk on the 22nd for the Ford Smack Down... I'll actually get a chance to see the Powerhouse car in person! LOL!

No idea... basically it's just a couple of lanes of asphalt in the middle of a field.. in the middle of nowhere! LOL! Everything appeared to be very run down... it's been there like forever!

When I got my 14.00 they were prepping the lanes constantly.. this last sunday they didn't seem to be doing that... My 60' on my 13.77 was slightly worse than my 60' time on my 14.00 run.... again.. I changed a lot of variables... did my BFGs grab better than my Nittos? If you look at the 60' time you would say the BFGs grabbed better... but then again the Nittos had an extra 25HP to deal with... perhaps the BFG would have broken loose easier with the 100HP... who knows!!! LOL!

I'm thinking Norwalk we be a much better track than what I've been running on so far... My 2nd bottle will be in so that should give me a much more constant flow through the whole 1/4 mile... also if I can get Lidio to make a pass that will shave at least .1 off! LOL!

Ok.. so this winter will be research into drag racing physics and suspension! LOL!

well very cool. You can usually tell by the type of asphault used. If it looks similar to whats on the street, or if it looks similar to whats on a gas station lol.

Hope you get to hit that 13.5 mark. just to say you are faster than a stock gt, at least what most people are capable of doing in them. (ive actually seen some 05 gt manuals run in the 15s).

Well, I'm at least faster than a few 05 GTs... LOL!
