Well, i went to the track tonight to test out my truetrac and gears. Didnt feel comfortable launching or shifting hard with the truetrac yet since its not quite broken in. I did manage to get a 2.13 60ft time along with a 14.84 quarter mile time. Thats 3 tenths better than last week (only change was gears and posi) and i didnt even fully get on it yet.

How much do the LCAs really help? I see a lot of people doing it, I've just never been sure if it was worth the $.

Nice job putting the TT through its paces! What I really appreciate is the fact that you also own a 2003 Cobra, but spend more time on the 05 V6!

I guess the old argument has been put to rest.. That you cant have fun with a V6 to.. LOL! Boy I bet that Cobra really appreciates you abusing the six, and leaving him in the garage! Lord knows how nasty that thing would be to a dragstrip!

I do have one question regarding the Cobra.. What has your best time been in it? I need something to work with.. LOL!

My ultimate goal is to beat a stock 2003-04 Cobra! If i can get to that point, I'll consider all my work a complete success.. This of course will be done with all stock internals, that is the most important thing to me.. With the Cobra being somewhere around 390 to 400HP @ the flywheel, it fits perfectly into my game plan..

So what numbers am I looking at? ET and MPH wise?

Nice time, Fazm! Now go drive that car and break that rear end in! LOL!

Ok... LCA's... The most noticable thing for me was my car developed a nasty case of wheel hop when I went to the Nitto's on the 100HP shot.. LCA's cured that... wheel hop is something that you do not want!!!

Great times Fazm , Congrats. Iam sure you will get to 14.5 with a couple of more passes under your belt. Good Luck!

Scrming , Can we get away with the(cheap) non-adjustable LCA from BMR? I cant keep putting money into my every day ride, my wife is going to kick me out of the house, lol.

Wow!!!! 14.8 and you were taking it easy. Fazm, you are a force on the track man. You are dangerous with only bolt ons! With a power adder you will be dishing out a hurting to anyone bold enough to take you on.

Well done.

Agreed. I've got a Detroit TT just installed. Went w/ 3.45 to try them out and I'm going to go to 3.73's in a couple of weeks & the 3.45's are going to a friend who has an SN95 late model v6 & upgrading from his stock 3.27's.

The Detroit grabs like the AZ heat in July! I agree that it grabs so fast that under hard acceleration wheel hop can become an issue. I'm now in the 'I'll probably need new LCA's soon' camp now as well. I'm going to try the TT w/ the 3.73's after the 3.45's for a bit and then make a final decision on the LCA's....

I think I'll see how it handles after the SC and TT.

Is it a pretty easy install?
