Since aluminum dissipates heat better, that's what all manufacturers are going to these days. You can run higher compression without knock (and that means more power) and it lightens the front of the car, (better handling and gas mileage) I know the 4.0 is famous for blowing the head gaskets when under extra pressure, but maybe with the new V6s Ford has now, we can just swap in the 2012 V6 and gain a quick 100 hp over the old 4.0?????

Never heard that before - very few that I know of have blown a head gasket. I had one blow, but that was before I ran nitrous or the supercharger and while the car was under warranty. Other than mine, none of the other 4.0 owners I know have blown a head gasket.

And as far as blowing them under pressure -- I ran a 75 shot of nitrous on this car for two seasons. Then I pulled the nitrous and put the Xcharger on it at 90,000 miles with about 12 lbs of boost. Today I have 197,700 miles on this engine and it still runs great. No head gasket problems.
