Stalling Out Problem

Okay so last week I installed a new AIRRAID CAI, on my 07 V6 manual with 600 miles on it. Now I have been having a problem with the car stalling out whenever I roll to a stop with the clutch in. It seems that the idle drops to about 500 the car shudders and then recovers. Today though the idle just drops to zero and the car dies altogether. It does start right up and is fine unless I have been driving and then downshift as I stop. If I am just parked the car idles at the normal 800-1000rpm and all is good. Is this a problem with the fuel pump or maybe the CAI has messed up the air/fuel ratio and the car is oxygen starved....any theories. I thought the AIRRAID CAI didn't require a tune but I am thinking now that I may just go ahead and get one from BAMA just to solve the problem altogether. I would appreciate any thoughts on what to try...I can always put the stock breather back on and take it to FORD but I'm hoping that I won't have to.

If anything it would be that the V6 is fuel starved as too much air is getting in. I'd check for loose connections first. If every thing is tight and clipped correctly then switch back tot he old air box to see if you get the same problem. It will save you having to get diagnostic check from the dealership.

If you're ever up north near Kent stop by the dealership and say Hi.

I think your right, I just went to the AIRRAID website and after some reading I have determined that the GT version has the special airflow restrictor (removable) that will let you run without tuning but the V6 CAI does not. So it looks like I need to return to my stock breather until I can get a new SCT Tuner here...what a pain!!
