Shaftmasters

been waiting a few years to get one of these parts. i can still use it if i upgrade the rear end some day. iv got 111,000 so the u joints were getting a little loose ( what a perfect excuse)

install wasnt bad. its always a pain to jack 4 corners up high enough to get under it and hard to break and torque the bolts with arms out over head laying on the floor. the new shaft fit in place perfect. theres 8 holes on the trans and rear end flanges so i marked the holes i was using, not sure if it matters. never would have realized just how heavy that oem driveshaft is, wow. sure looks pretty. its raining so no good road testing for a day or 2 dangit

It might be the camera angle, but is it just me or is it off-center?

awwww, they were out of the cool black t shirts cause i waited till 30 minutes left of the sale they had for $50 off by the 31st ( talk about procrastinating), but david there found me a white shaftmasters t shirt and put it in the box

turned out the server they use for sales was in a different time zone and it didnt give me the discount even though it was 10:30 pm here, 11:30 pm in michigan. david still fixed the invoice and gave me the 50 off. they do rock. got the shaft here pretty quick too.

ive only drove it a little, sure feels good, but the feeling that its all new and solid feels even better. i was starting to worry a little about the oem with no clips and the high mileage.

Has anyone done back to back dyno runs with the stock shaft and the aluminum shaft?

Someone did several years ago. The shaft doesn't add any RWHP. It let's you use it more efficiently. Once the drive train is spinning there isn't any gain. It does make the car feel lighter though; completely different feel in my experience. And my car picked up .2 at the track the weekend after installing it.

Kinda a bummer if it does not add RWHP, obviously it decreases weight and that helps speed, but some more HP would be nice.

it doesn't add hp but it does free some hp up. If you can lessen rotating mass its like adding hp
