I assume your Mustang is a V-6 ? Anyhow It certainly wouldn't hurt to use a GT sway bar, but if you plan on lowering your car by 1.5 inches or more in the rear ? Then you should also look into upgrading to an adjustable panhard bar as well !

If you put a GT bar in the rear of the V6 and do not put the GT one on the Front it will not corner right. It might under steer like crazy. I had an older camero once and put a TransAm V8 sway bars on My V6 Camero and it Handled fantastic.

You can probably find take-off parts from GT or GT500 owners that upgraded.

According to Ford Racing, they are the same kit, from 2005-2014. Here is the link showing. It does say it doesn't fit the V6 models, but if you are buying a used take off, it will have all the parts and pieces to make it work. The rear and front do fit. I have 2008 Bullitt sway bars on my 07 V6. I just put in an 8.8 with 3:73's and LS, and used the set up from the Bullitt. It fit without any problems. It will fit, but you do have to have all the parts and pieces.
