With the diagram I got from KC and your pics it should be a cake walk. Did you find it necessary to remove the wheels when installing?

Nope. Once you get under there it's fairly easy. It only goes one way and you really can't mess it up. Just make sure you get the bolts nice and tight. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumb.gif[/img]

Actually, I think it can be installed incorrectly. Just make sure the folded over sticker tag that says "L" left is on the drivers side. It is a snap to install otherwise. What a difference this mod makes to the way the car handles. You're going to love it!

 

Hello, I am pretty much new here and had a question regarding a rear swaybar install.

I just received the Eibach kit and I am wondering how tight the connection where the rear end links attach to the chassis should be. The instructions only state "tighten all connections". Does this mean that I tighten that connection so that the metal of the mounts is firmly against the bushishings, or does it need to have play from there?

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

 

I'm pretty sure you would want it tight, the whole idea of the sway bar is to reduce flex, if the bar isn't tightened to the chasis (frame) then it would allow for play which would be counter to it's purpose.

I'm a noob to car mods so someone more knoweable may respond.

I remember something in the forums a while back about 80ft/lbs of torque. I didn't have a torque wrench when I did mine so i just tightened them about as much as I could without breaking the bolts. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/04.gif[/img]

 

That was 80 lbs for the end bolts, and 55 lbs for the bracket bolts, and yes you'll be tightened up to the bushing. Good luck!

 

Just got back from giving it a test run with the new bars. Man, what a difference, very noticeable, did a bunch of tight 360's and felt pretty solid compared to when I did them stock. Install wasn't hard just took about 2 hours to remove stock front and install both. Thanks for the help.

 

How much did you pay for it ?

Did you get front and rear ?
