![Question](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Has anybody upgraded the by pass valve on their Vortech? Apparently the Bosch valve that comes with the system can only support 12psi, and I am planning to run a 12psi pulley. However, with temperature fluxuations I know that sometimes the car will hit 14ish psi at some points, and I just want to be safe.
I have been looking at the Vortech Universal Maxflow Racing Bypass Valve. It seems like I need to also get the adapters to the system too correct? Also, will those fit directally into the system?

This one looks like it will fit directally, but I am not sure how much better it is:

This is the one I use and it works great. I normally make 11 pounds of boost, but on cold nights I have seen 14 pounds!

Ah nice. Thanks! I assume you are using that on the Mustang and not one of your other cars lol. Did it just fit right in place of the Bosch valve? Also, how long have you had it for on your car? Also, do you know what PSI it is safe to?

Yes, I have had it on my Mustang 1 year (6000 miles) and I recommend it on all my Supercharger installs. Yes, it is a direct replacement. Think of it like this.. if you replace your stock shocks/struts with Koni shocks/struts, the Koni's do the same thing as the stock units only they do it better!! You should be good to 14 psi. When I install my air to air intercooler I will add another bypass, Vortech say's you can NEVER over bypass a SC set up!
