The past week or so Ive noticed an odd sound coming from what seems to be under the hood on the passenger side.
It happens under light acceleration.
It almost sounds like an exhaust leak.
Im getting ready to cut my y-pipe and go to true duals, so I need to figure this out soon.
Ford will have a poo fit if I modify the exhaust, then go in for an exhaust issue under warrenty.
Anyone have a similar problem?

Is it a whistling sound around 1500-2000 rpms? I have that noise. The ford dealer was nice enough to tell me it was the aftermarket CAI I put in. However it was happening before that as well. But of course they did not want to hear that. It only happens when I am driving, not a rev from park or neutral.

I’m getting an odd sound from under the hood too. It sounds like a group of six chipmunks crying out for their two missing brethren. I think they are lonely because there are only six of them up front. They seem to be telling me “Brian, we seem to be missing a pair up here; a pair of chipmunks that is!â€
Hey, Santa had eight miniature reindeer, and these furry-tailed little rodents feel overworked and under loved by comparison. The best that I can suggest for these odd sounds, which keep emanating from under the hood, is to keep the pedal to the metal and turn-up the radio.
