Well, it was my first time driving at the track!!! Had a blast!!!!

Before the Zex the car ran 14.922 with Lidio (www.alternativeauto.com) driving... Now I weigh probably at least 120 to 140 pounds MORE than him... and of course he's a much better driver... So... all that being said... here is my best run...

60' = 2.052
1/8 = 9.002
1/8 MPH = 78.53
1/4 = 14.004
1/4 MPH = 99.70

So not quite in the 13's... but dang the car ran good... I made about 6 passes... Definitely had a lot of fun....

Looking forward to going back....

That is not bad at all, I'd be way happy with a solid flat 14
so the car is weighing at around 3600, was all that weight picked up from the Zex kit?

You need to remove the back seats....... That will save you atleast 40lbs...

Actually I just need to go on a diet.. that's the best way to take weight out of the car...

I think we have a little problem in the 2500-3000 RPM range... going back next satruday for some more dyno tuning...

My tires are just all season radials... they were spinning pretty good.. I also need to let some air out next time... LOL

I'm running the 75HP shot... and it took about 1 second off ET... so I don't think that's too out of line...

Sounds to me like those more aggressive springs you put in the other day, did what I thought they would.. Which is to not allow a proper transfer of wieght to be distibuted to the rear on launch.. So maybe before you next track run, you should put the stock springs in?

But you did show a great improvemnet over the 14.922 run from Lidio.. But for sure you could have broken into the 13's with a better weight transfer to the rear..

Thing is I go to a lot more car shows than I do race tracks! LOL!!! The car looks a lot better with the new springs... and rides a lot better too!!! I picked up a 3rd place yesterday at good sized All Ford and Mustang show! They had a seperate class for the 05's that were participant vote... I've never gotten anything when it's participant voting... must be all that Zex appeal! LOL!

So for now the spring stay... I think Lidio will be able to tweek my tune some more Saturday...

Yes thats quite understandable... There are several ways in which you can deal with this problem.. One, is invest in a set of slicks which you can throw on when you at the track.. Doing this later once you buy some more wheels will be much easier..

The other is to increase the shot to 100 or 125.. This way you feather the launch and once traction has been captured, you punch it running through the traps before they strike 13.00ET.. LOL!! All these scenarios sound really fun.. I really like chasing the 13.00! LOL!! Just imagine the 13.00 as a jack rabbit, and your the big bad wolf..!
