Opps forgot one more thing also remember you are NOT going to have the same amount of high TQ with the Vortech you had with the Nitrous on launch so wheel spin should be less of a problem on launch with DR’s. The car should really come off the line good (hook up) with the 4.10's with the right air pressure in those DR's I see no problem but improvement vs. the nitrous as far as launching and spinning should not be a problem in the first 60' vs the TQ of nitrous before.

TJ06 is right.. You'll be ok with the 4.10's.. I completley forgot about your car was setup for nitrous previously..
Anyways, the only thing you can do is try it out.. The 4.10's are certainly going to be a huge benefit after the 1/8th mile.. They will probably add 2 to 3psi of boost more on a shift from 3rd to 4th over the stock 3.31's.. With the 3.31's your shift from 3rd to 4th gear @ 100MPH using a 1.41 3rd gear ratio, and 26in tires places the rpm's at 6031rpm.. With the 3.25in pulley this is 10.05PSI of boost.. Now shifting into 4th gear places the rpms at 3558RPM and 5.93psi of boost to start off 4th gear under WOT circumstances..
With the 4.10's you will have to shift at 80MPH @ 5976RPM from 3rd to 4th gear, and end up at 3526RPM and 5.87psi of boost!!
OMG Scrming!! Dump the 4.10's! LOL!! This may change somewhat with the automatic transmission.. But the principle will be the same.. Basically the 4.10's are taking you out of the powerband.. Yes you will probably have the faster 60ft, but somewhere around mid track, the taller geared car is going to pull on you real hard, and you wont be able to catch up by the before he gets to the traps..
WOW!! I never calculated it like this before.. No wonder Powerhouse like the 3.55's!! That sure is an eye opener!!
Now it is understood your 3rd gear may be slightly different.. I just used an example of the situation in my car which is a 5spd manual with 26in tires..
Actually, the unknown will be how much of an advantage will you be at by shifting into 4th gear sooner.. ??? The unknown.. You figure the 3.31 car will be able to run up 20 more MPH before he has to shift into 4th gear.. So the question is, since you shifted sooner, will it play out to your advantage at the traps..
Thats the big unknown.. So its not clear really which is better..

The proof is in the pudding actually.. Bottom line is PHP went 11.65 with 4.10's.. So the 4.10's cant come out.. Its a done deal..
Scrmings all set to run 11's.. LOL!!
I'm still shooting for 12's!!

Convince Mom and Dad to go 13#'s, and make sure to call ahead for the Tow Truck at the end of the block after they got WOT - It'll save you waiting an hour or so on the side of the road for them to pick you up from school
