Very quick install ! Took probably 5 mins. It made a huge difference in mid-range. I am going to Dyno Tuesday and try 3-4 different tunes and the CAI. Hopefully to the track Friday Night to get some times. So far for performance Mods I have done SCT tune, 1 GT Muffler, and the CAI. A few suspension mods (springs and sway bar) I have the T-loc and 4.10s but the T-loc needs new clutchs so I am holding off to see what it will run with stock 3.31s .

I am very impressed with the lowend and mid range power potential these motors have, I think with proper tuning and traction it will be cabable of low 14s at around 96-97. This thing is so much fun !

Is that the same CAI they sell for the GT?
I looked on their web page & the only 2005 CAI I could find is part #900800 for a GT, but it looks like the one in your photo.

No the GT is 85mm diameter and the V-6 is 75mm slightly smaller. The MAF sensor is the same on both the GT and V-6 but the MAF transfer function in the tune is different. I am a SCT dealer so I will do some tuning on the Dyno Tuesday to dial in some better tunes.

Is this the same one thats on ebay for $199? It says it does not need a tune and gives you 8-15 rwhp... thats kind of hard to believe, and even if it does, will it trigger the MIL?

Yes I have to agree with you 8-15 rwhp is a long shot. I did no tuning yesterday, I just bolted it on, expecting to do some tuning of the Mass Air Function. It did feel stronger but the Dyno will tell the difference. I so far have not had a check engine light. I know on the GTs a tune is required because the MAF transfer Function in the tune is way off when the Steeda or C&L unit are bolted on. I will report back with some bolt-on results and tuning results from the Dyno session.

I really want to get one of these on ym car to give it a little extra power. Would this void any type of warrenty??
Also, i'm clueless when it comes to most of this stuff. Once I install it, what tuning is needed and how do you go about getting it tuned right so nothing is damaged?

yur1279, they claim it needs no tune to get the claimed horsepower, with a tune, you would definately exceed the 15rwhp. I would venture to guess about 25-30rwhp gained with a full tune along with that kit.

I sent MMR an email this morning asking for verification that it was a true MMR product and not someone using their name (since its not listed on their site). They mailed me back saying that it was infact their product but failed to say when it would be added to their own site or additional information.

Here is my info from MMR Tech Support:

From: "Modular Mustang Racing" <info@modularmustangracing.com>

No, it is a direct bolt and requires no reflash, you can
expect higher
gains though with a custom tune but again it is not
required.

Does the V-6 part# 900806 require computer to be
re-flashed?

Yeah I am ordering one too.

I checked at the dealership and they said that the CAI would not void the warranty.

I really need to make some pics of my car ....
