Here's a close up of the new dry filter when it's installed......

Never needs oil!
That's nice that the only thing different is the filter. If it works pretty well for you down the road let me know and I may just replace the filter on my 'wet' system so i don't have to oil it.

Yeah, I'm sure you could easily do that. The new filter was one of the main reasons I went for this CAI instead of the K&N one or some other brand.......

Well, I got my AEM cold air kit and put it on today!

It was pretty easy, just make sure you have some metric tools!

The car does seem to acclerate faster, and sound a little meaner. It's too early to tell about gas mileage yet. I'll let you guys know later on that.....
Now that you've had your intake on for awhile, how do you like it? Any improvement in mileage? Thanks!

It's still a little early to tell if my CAI is giving me better gas mileage since I only drive 8 miles one way to work. It does seem to give me better power on the Freeway however.

The heat shield attaches to the bolt that attaches the stock air filter box, and another one that is underneath the Anti-skid brake wire harness. It comes with instructions with pictures, so it's pretty easy to follow.......

Man, I would love to see some more pics of your car! Looks great in your avatar. Looks like a California Dreamin' hood right? Do you have hood struts?

Sorry if this is OT.
