Why would they NOT give numbers..
Isn't that the whole point?

You want to know what your car is running..

It'd be like you buying a brand new engine for the car...
and saying 'Ok thanks' not knowing at all what it does...
...it just 'feels fast'

If it was dyno tuned...any car buff would ask or have proof to what it puts out.
If it was just slapped on and a canned tune uploaded...
I wouldn't be racing every car I see till I got it dyno tuned.
Last thing I'd want to be doing is fitting the bill for a new 4.0L engine....

Excellent, man. It's like a whole new car, isn't it?

I actually had the privilege of driving some fun cars this weekend when my dad came down to look at vehicles (2006 Charger SRT-8, 2005 GTO, 2005 M3, brand new Lotus Elise, Porsche Cayman), and I gotta say getting back into my little old v6 mustang didn't feel like a step down at all. Pickup on the highway and off the line felt just as good, and though each ride was different, my car could still hang with a bunch of $40,000-$60,000 performance vehicles. Congrats, dude, welcome to the club. Sounds like your experience was a little better than mine.

Its always a contributing factor. I rolled off the lot in august with my 03 cobra, and raced a bentley continental gt on my way to the airport. Took me a while to get him to race but he eventually tried lol

Yea, surely Vortech dyno'd this girl!!! No way they didn't. Hey, I would love to see pics on that engine bay, I bet it's a beast.

Also, be careful man. 3 races in one day is 3 too many. Save it for the track.

Yep, this is definitely the reason I have a street tune on my ride, and no bottle opener!!!!!!!

When i boost my car, itll be a good thing i live less then a mile away from my work, so street racing will be just about impossible. Maybe on the highway ill show that turbo 350z whats up, or the occasional corvette lol. I do 99% of my racing at the track.

I haven't even used mine yet. I haven't wanted to switch from the 93 torque tune. Eh, maybe I'll do it soon. This Saturday for sure.

Keep us posted on this Thom. I really want to know how this turns out for you. Got a minidv or other type of cam?

Man I've only had 1 race since I got my car 18,000 miles ago... And it was a Celica GT Now that was a pointless "race"...

That is pointless, 180HP @ flywheel car going up against a GT. Isn't the best time on that car int he mid 15's. Why even bother.

Like I said, sorry for the quality!!

It looks much better in person... Also, I need to get you guys a clip of the iidle... Its sounds awsome... When i sit at a stop light, people look over to see whats making that noise.. LOL!! Its not loud by any means.. Its actually pretty quiet.. When I get the Prochamber put on, I doubt you will even hear it.. But it does make a very nice subtle sound..

freakin sweet msp....

just wish i can get one here in california...Is the vortech 50 state legal? Some of their systems are.

LOL!! Vortech is based in California, and so am I!! The kits should be available now, so you can call Vortech anytime.. If I remember correctly Forced said he was going to be giving a few kits out with some good discounts.. But we will have to wait to see what Forced says about this..

One thing is for sure is this kit is pretty nuts out of the box.. They have done a real good job on the tune.. Keep in mind my drive home was about 350+ miles.. This may also explain why I raced 3 times, or was approached ,

I just ordered my Vortech today. Hopefully install week of Presedents Day Weekend.

MSP - Thanks for all the insight and answers to all those questions. I was initially going for the air to air - but finally convinced myself (thanks to MSP) to go all out for the High Output Air/Water AfterCooler version Now I can't wait....The anticipation is horrible

umm.. I got a Question... ATI Procharger is offering a 50-85% increase. depending on which stage you get. 388hp at the fly and aprox. 444lbs of torque With Stage 2. while vortech is offering 319hp @ the fly and 330lbs of torque. And Cheaper.. So what is the advantage of getting a vortech. I am really interested in getting a supercharger once my warranty is off the car. with 17,000 miles and it being a year on May 21st I think I will hit 30000 miles pretty easy... So can you compare the ATI & Vortech Chargers?
Thanks
Coleman

Wow, very cool MSP! Their photo looks nice, too.

I see flywheel numbers, but didn't see RW numbers...did I just overlook them?

They say this "**Supercharged horsepower and torque data shown is a calculated estimate based on percentage increases from actual rear wheel hp/tq measurements."

But I don't see the RW numbers.

Using some rough numbers, doesn't it works out to something like 285 HP/285 TRQ ??

Anyway you slice it, those numbers are awesome

We only quote engine numbers because the of the many many many variables on wheel HP. We do have a Mustang Dyno which will read a lot lower than the ever popular DynoJet. I am sure you will be seeing some DynoJet numbers soon...

The 2005-2006 Mustang systems are not yet smog legal. We are working hard on this one, believe me.

The systems are now available to purchase and will be shipping in about a week or two...
