So I manage to keep my new stang pristene, never driven in the rain, when I wash the top I wash the bottom, I mean this car can be eaten off of. So Mother Nature doesn't like the fact that I won't let her throw dirty water in the form of polluted rain at my car, or let her drip sap on it, or let her little bird freinds drop their little presents on it. So she hatches a plan, a plan to get me and my stang....tonight as I drive along a deserted road, going to pickup my daughters at band practice, she launches her attack.....in the form of BAMBI. Yes BAMBI emerges suddenly from the brush. It times it movements to perfection, no matter how hard I swerved to the left to avoid the impending carnage, it succeeds where I fail. My car is bent, the right front fender crushed. Mother Nature GO TO ****

Man, sorry to hear that....On the bright side, at least it was only the car that got hurt...well, and the deer.

I was driving through the poconos in PA a few weeks ago, when I hit a stretch just at dusk where there was a mangled car and a dead deer about every five miles for nearly an hour, and here I was in a new car with only about 2500 mi on the clock. Needless to say I was practically pee'ing myself everytime a bush by the side of the road moved in the breeze...

Sorry to hear about your accident. Deer are a real problem where I live b/c of all the wooded areas. Been here almost 5 years, so far, never had to encounter that. But working at an insurance company, I see plenty of cars that has met its match with the deer.

One guy came in just a ranting about how the state should pay for any damages done to vehicles by deer. His theory: The state tells you when to shoot deer, and what kind. If they own them, they should be responsible for any damage they incur.

Then again, that comedian, Bob TATER SALAD White says, "My brother in law comes in braggin he got a deer, said he gets up at 4 am, puts deer urine on his shoes, gets his best rifle, and sits for hours in a stand facing the corn plot he planted. As the deer approaches the salt block POW, he shoots him right between the eye!"

He then tells his brother in law, "Really? I hit one with my VAN, going 55 miles an hour, lights on, radio blarring and the horn blowing! If you want a bullet that dont miss, get one like that -- the deer just jump out in front of it.... "

Man that sucks. At least you're okay...

I've had friends that have hit deer [upstate NY] and rolled their car. I hit a deer on my motorcycle doing 60 and didn't go down. Totaled the bike [Honda Goldwing] and went out and bought another one...

I have the same fears when I'm driving the Stang home at night. Here in central PA, lots of deer accidents on the road. I usually get behind a big rig and let him clear the way.

Indeed... sad story.

The deer are very bad here as well. It's not only the deer that I have to look out for, but the other critters as well. They seem to be infatuated with crossing the roads. Everything from cats, dogs, foxes, racoons, oposums, deer, and turkeys.

Don't forget the giant Vultures and other assorted birds that plop in the road to eat the carion from someone else's misfortune. These little suckers won't move! Even as you roll down on them with your horn blairing. It's almost like they dare you to hit them.

Deer season is in swing now, so everyone watch out. Sorry to hear about your car Larry. Quite a bummer. Your insurance will get you fixed up though. It just stinks to have to feel that pain and to know that you took such good care of your car only to have that happen.

It's proven time and time again that you can't have anything nice in this world. No matter how hard you try to keep it, people will do their best to destroy it. If it's not people, its the ever unpredictable mother nature.

Sorry to hear about your car.

That sucks. Same thing happened to me a few months ago, but only the deer hit my Taurus and not the STANG thank GOD. Good luck with the repairs.

Sorry about your car. Hope it gets fixed soon. I have a problem with deer in some parts that I frequently visit but then again I don't have a Mustang to worry about (yet). Again another prime example of how nature can suck:angry: . Still don't hate ol' mother nature too much, remember all those sunny warm days she gave you to enjoy driving your stang.

Thanks for your kind words folks, it actually helps to know others can feel your pain. Going to take it up to Woody Anderson Ford In Huntsville. These guys are Mustang fanatics, it will be in good hands. Thanks again.....
