Sorry nobody answered earlier. I don't know about your car but I have had two different MAC cold air intakes and I have a MAC throttle body. They are easy to deal with and their parts work great, the only thing is when you order make sure they put the instructions with the item. I had to have them email them to me this last time. Good Luck!!

mac straight shot cold air intake is awesome, ane 100 bucks cheaper than steeda. it also seems to have a better element than the steeda version.

bought it, bolted it together in 10 minutes, had it on the car in another 15, very noticable difference immediately in both performane and sound!

bought mine at onlineracer.com for 150.

ed inclan is a great guy to deal with, and was very helpful.

my two cents...

Faber did your MAC intake installation require a flash?

Edit: guess not since you say you had it installed in 15 minutes.. I thought all the CAI kits required a flash???

I installed the kit two days before i flashed my computer with a diablo predator (there are no mac straight shot tunes available yet for the mac cai, so i used the steeda tune) and the check engine light came on within about 2 hours. I called ed inclan who in tern called mac, and they said to disconnect the battery for 10 seconds and reconnect it (10 seconds didnt do the trick, but overnight worked!) and the light went away. I would say you probably dont need to reflash for just the CAI, but to get the most out of it a reflash is in order. I still think i could probably get even more out of the CAI but have not had time or money to get it dynoed.

hope this helps!

I already had the mac prochambers on mine, with sct, when I purchased my mac intake kit, but I was told I would have to have it tuned for the mac, , mac even told me this, , because of the amount of ait flow, , , check and see but i believe you do.

I ended up cancelling my order for MAC headers and calling up JBA instead. I just didn't care for their sleepy customer service.
