Prices?!? I've got my eyes on those headers, i heard that the exhaust manifolds were the most restrictive part of the v6 exhaust... any hp/tq numbers?

If you want to have an idea about prices, check out some of their other products. ia m guessing that the headers will be about $400 to $600. Also, as for performance gains, they have a dyno sheet of a 2004 Ranger (I think) which has the same 4.0L engine. With headers, cat-back, and ignition wires they saw gains of 16 peak HP and 19 peak torque for 190 rwhp and 229 rwtq. I would expect similar gains for the mustang.

If headers were put on would you have to do anything to the comp? Ive been thinking of doing a port and polish in a few weeks and keep comming up against this same wall.

Bought my JBA headers at v6mustangstuff... much better price than JBA's website.

http://www.v6mustangstuff.com/05V6Headers.htm

They are smog legal in all 50 states, according to JBA.

I have the headers with a single GT take-off axle-back... sounds bad hiney! Plus, a noticeable kick in hp/tq (sorry, no dyno yet)

Here's a clip... clip doesn't do it justice... much louder and more aggressive than stock or with just the GT muffler. Revs quicker and harder... I'm am more than pleased!

It must just be the quality of the sound clip but I really cant notice any difference in sound between these and the normal take off mufflers without the headers. It may sound a little better a idle from what I can tell. Thanks soo much for getting a clip.

I had the GT take-off muffler on for a couple months and was very used to the sound, still thinking it was really nice, better than stock. When I had the JBA headers installed, the first thing I thought when I first fired 'er up was... wow! Having purchased the headers for the power gains, I wasn't expecting the drastic change in sound... much more aggressive, a bit louder at idle and much louder, throatier at WOT. The GT muffler over stock was a really nice, noticeable change. Adding the headers was a far bigger leap, imho.

As far as sound clips... my powerbook's sound capture utility has a automatic gain control, so loud sounds, like revving an engine, end up being recorded at a similar volume.
