Interior vs. Exterior

I've been looking at my '05 and trying to figure out what I want to do with it. I'm not terribly savvy when it comes to the inner workings of the Mustang (most magazines seem to address car experts) but I'm studying up. However, I do know what I like when it comes to the body (ducktail spoiler, racing stripes, maybe the California Dreaming hood).
Given these circumstances, would you rather get the body the way you like it and study up on the "guts" (while at the same time letting the aftermarket parts market settle down) to work on later, or vice versa? Leaning towards doing the bodywork first, but I'd hate to get a nice clean looking car that all the rice rocket jockeys rev up on without anything to back it up. Personal pride you see.

I agree with Zodiac. Add some extra muscle first. Your car already looks good, especially if you already have 18" black bullitts on it. Exterior upgrades are cool and worth doing, but my plans are to get the car a solid extra 30 horses first. Its better, in my opinion, to have a stock looking sleeper for a while than to have a bunch of exterior upgrades that make it look faster when its really not.

I agree also, I'd rather have a sleeper that will blow the other guys doors off. I put some money into exterior mods, GT grille & wheels but most of it went to performance first.

This car is a beauty on it's own... if you go for looks first, get some nice rims and higher performance tires. She'll look great and handle better too. Also, dual exhaust with a couple nice, polished tips really rounds out the rear end, plus will get ya a few extra ponies. Who says ya can't do both?!

Hmmm. Pretty obvious what the gallery wants me to do. Sounds good. Next step is CAI and tune I suppose. Gotta see what's left of the paycheck after next month's bills.
And hamid, I already took care of the wheel, tires, and exhaust . First things I did. The stock wheels were good, but it was impossible to keep them clean and ANY dirt or grime showed up like Christmas lights on them. I love my Bullitts. The exhaust was on a good deal since the guy practically begged me to let him work on the Stang (first one around Angleton TX).

Hey, I put racing stripes and quarter louvers before I touched anything else. Had a few too many Windveil Blues pop up on base (AFTER I bought mine, o course!! ) so I wanted something to stand mine out IMMEDIATELY!
