The claim is that the kit will produce 310 rwhp, it doesn't necessarily mention that's from the stage 2 kit. So 6 psi = +130 rwhp (going with 180 rwhp on a stock v6).

That's, uh, impossible.

Even with 10psi of non-intercooled boost, I find it a LITTLE bit of a stretch... most systems would require some form of intercooler to get a 70% horsepower gain at moderate boost levels.

But hey, that's just me. What do I know.

I hate to sound like a killjoy, but I have to agree. 130 rwhp with 6 psi of boost is bull. Something in the 250-260 range sounds about right. I wish Doug from BamaChips could get in on this discussion. He's supercharged 4.0L Rangers/Explorers for years. I think he would agree this is high. I'm guessing it would take 10 psi for 310 rwhp.

Thats exactly what the KIT is designed for.. 10PSI, with the intercooler.. This puts the flywheel at 350HP and the rear wheels at 297.50RWHP.. Do a couple of tweaks to your Diablo, and wahlah!! 310RWHP..

Believe this, eventually someone will take this kit, add some dished pistons to their factory forged rods in the SOHC 4.0 to lower the compression ratio. Put on some more superior head gaskets, and raise the boost to 12 to 14 PSI and put close to 400RWHP to the car.. Not sure when it will happen, but best believe its being thought of and contemplated, somewhere in the United States of America!

yep... I concur... The ebay add says 310RWHP with 6 psi boost... it you ad the intercooler you can go to 10psi and get another 40HP...

Supercharger kit 2005 V6 Mustang.

350 hp at crank

310 hp at rear wheels

Kit Contains:

* Powerdyne BD11A self contained supercharger. No oil changing, no maintainence.
* Drop in fuel injectors
* SCT Excalibrator with full support for all 50 states.
* Bosch bypass valve
* Patent pending separate belt drive system for maximum safety and reliability. * note- one belt drive systems could cause damage to the harmonic balancer.
* Boost 6lbs psi
* Reusable high-flow air filter
* 6061-T6 aluminum plate supercharger mounting bracket and all hardware
* Fully illustrated install manual

i find this a stretch too.. I just surfed over to the Explorer Express pages and looked at their claims for their Eaton blowers... 6 psi give 74 RWHP gain... that's a little shy of the 140RWHP gain this kit claims... sorry but I'm kind of skeptical here... BTW... is that kit kind of ugly or is it me? LOL!

LOL!! Who cares how ugly it looks.. I keep my hood closed anyway.. I'm quite sure with alittle polishing the kit could visually look more appealing..

Well, in about 10 days or so I'll hopefully be telling people exactly what 7psi of intercooled boost will do to the v6. The kit's supposed to come in from procharger this week (but you know how that goes), so hopefully install will be done next monday or tuesday.

I'm, uh, somewhat excited.

Awesome. I can't wait for your review. I just got my new 5.0 magazine today and they did a test on the Procharger. They are probably a little biased though.
