I got the front sway bar from Saleen, it's a GT take-off for only $30(plus $15 for shipping). The rear is a new GT convertible sway bar I got from Kevin at Clevenger Ford(great guy!) for only $225(including shipping) and he gave me all the hardware needed for the job.

My buddy came over and gave me a hand, only took about an hour and we took our time and took pics. Makes a huge difference, the car corners flat now. I took a couple s-curves near my house at 60mph(speed limit is 25mph, doh!) with no problem, I could have gone much faster. Here's some pics:

What is your plan for the differential? Is this something your planning on in the near future?

Yeah, the rearend is next. It's going to cost some $$$ so I'm going to save up for it. But it's coming.

Thanks...and your welcome! I usually don't take pics even though I should. I'm hoping that the pics will help someone else when they go to install theirs.

I just put on a GT front anti-sway bar: what Jimp says is right on the money. Car corners much flater - better than I expected. If you own a V6, getting a GT bar from Saleen is just the thing to do. Saleen's phone number is 800 888 8945. Ask for John at ext 1000.

I know that I would need a special fitting kit for the rear GT bar when puttin git on my V6. Do I need a fitting kit for the front GT bar as well or will it fit just fine using existing hardware? Is there a place where I can get just the fitting kit? Did anybody consider installing the rear bar and keeping the V6 one in front? Sorry about so many questions, but I figured better ask them at once vs creating many threads. Thanks!

If you contact:
Clevparts@aol.com
Kevin will hook you up with everything you need. I'd replace the front also, it's only $30 through Steeda.

Mine are on the way. Used.

Has anyone considered upgrading the bushings? I lookd around but didnt see any 05 specific bushing kits being offered. Firms up the ride quite a bit.

How was the front install? Does the V6 bar come out without messing with any of the suspension components?

My bars will be delivered Wed. I want to install the front Thur, and the rear Fri.

I work 3pm till 2am, so I sleep until about noon.

Yeah it's pretty easy. Simply unbolt the old one and bolt on the new one. You don't have to mess with anything else.

I found a rear sway bar bushing kit on ebay.

I noticed that Jimp bought a GT convertible rear sway bar. If you had a coupe wouldn't you need to buy a sway bar for a coupe? Is there any difference in a coupe and convertible sway bar? Thanks!

The convertible sway bar is slightly thicker.

Jimp,

My bars came in today. I didnt get the mounting hardware, but did get the bushings.

I understand the front is a direct swap.

On the rear it looks like about a 7/16 hole. I can get bolts, washers, and nuts for the top mounts.

Im a little unclear on the rear lower mounts. Your pics show the bottom bolt but not the top. Can I use a bolt and nut on the top? I dont really want to have to go to Ford and order the mounting hardware and wait another week for the install.

Weather has been dry and in the 60s here all week. I want those bars installed. Theres a twisty near here with my name all over it.

Im also getting the duals on this weekend.

Its still x-mas at my house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
