Its no V8 but I think it sounds awesome and much louder than the stock dual exhaust. I would strongly recommend the Flowmaster exhaust for V6. Flowmasters sound awesome on mustangs in my opinion. There is only one way to get your car to sound like a true V8 and that's too buy a v8 mustang. Buy the Force II and you will not regret.
I said in my post it was a 06 v6 and that I wouldn't recommend a straight through muffler and said flowmasters would be a good choice.

Yup lol I had dual slp loud mouths on my v6. It didnt sound that bad bit really raspy. I ha a shop custom make the H pipe. They made the top and bottom of the H pipe a larger diameter and made it smaller as it went to the cross over. Not sure if I helped my performance but it made it sound different that it normally would.

Yeah, I want headers and off road x pipe on mine . Or at least the high flowing catted x pipe. I don't have yearly emission testing where I live so I'm leaning towards the off road x pipe. Being that its a v6 I don't think it would be too loud or not as loud as if it was on the 5.0. Lol! Hopefully with the new aftermarket headers and new x pipe it will really open things up for the engine. help the car breath way better and get back some lost HP and torque.

An X pipe gives it more rasp. And off road mid pipe that's a X pipe will most likely sound really bad on a V6. That's why I got a H pipe to decrease how much rasp it has. Not only will it rasp but it will make a trumpeting sound at high rpm like mine did. It sounds really annoying. When making a good exhuast set up for a v6 you want to choose things that make the sound deeper not just louder. Also catted mid pipes are a waste of money and time better to either leave it alone or get a O/R pipe. If I were you I'd go with pace setter LT headers and a O/R H pipe. And follow up with flowmasters mufflers.

So, for our v6 set up you think a h pipe is the way to go with a pair of bbk long tube headers.

I said pacesetter LT. Though as long as it's a LT header I think you'll be good. I just said pacesetter cause you can get them for around $300 which isn't bad. Also yeah H pipe is the only way to go as the X pipe will make it too raspy. May not see the same gains with a H than you would a X but the H will sound better. The v6 engine doesn't fire evenly so the H pipe will help even out the exhaust flow giving a better sound. I hope this helps! Also some people would recommend GT take off mufflers as well as GT500 take off mufflers. The off road H will make it a lot louder than you think.

Thanks for the advice. I currently put Flowmaster Axle back Force II exhaust system on it. I'm a big Flowmaster fan when it comes to mustangs. I think they sound really good on stangs.

They have a deep chambered sound. If stick with the mufflers you have and get pacesetter LT's and a off road H. After that see how your car sounds and just switch the mufflers if you want a louder/quieter flowmaster muffler. Also if it's too raspy for your taste or makes a trumpeting sound that's a sign to switch to a quieter muffler as it will give you a lower deeper sound. Lucky for you flow master makes it easy to get a muffler that will make you happy! They have a lot of different levels you can go! So good luck and I hope you get that sound you been wanting but remember it won't sound like anything but what it is a v6! But it can sound very nice when done right.

Pacesetter doesn't make Lt and H pipe for 2011 v6. A h pipe set up with headers are hard to find. Everything seems to be x pipe set up for 2011 plus

Ah I thought you were talking about the 05-10. Just get the BBK LT's then. As for what brand H pipe I would go with a JBA,MAC or BBK if BBK makes one. Also with LT headers you'll need a shorty off road H pipe.

BBK long tube headers only comes with off road x pipe. They don't make H pipe off road for 2011 v6. BBK doesn't have any h pipe for 2011 plus. Only X which your not a fan of. I wonder if the x pitch would be better in the 11 models because of the true dual exhaust compared to the 10 models?

No the dual thing you mentioned isn't a factor as to have a H pipe on a 05-10 v6 you need to put duals on it. Also I don't like any of the X pipes for a v6 makes it to raspy and trumpety. You can however get a BBK LT's and get a o/r H from a different company than BBK.

Yes a shorty mid pipe is needed with LT headers. They do make off road shorty mid pipes. Also the LT headers and mid pipe don't need to be from the same company either.

I'm Googling my a$$ off and I can't find a company who makes a shorty h pipe off road or catted h pipe for a 2011 v6. Everything is X pipe.

Try American muscle they may have something. But I'd you really can't find anything I would say just go with the X-pipe as most shops won't make a off road pipe cause of emissions but some will.

American musscle only carries the shorty x pipe that goes with the long tube headers. No H pipe. I can't believe no company makes a shorty H pipe to fit headers on a 2011 plus v6. Wow.

That's a stroke of bad luck. I guess I should be lucky they make one for my 03 GT.

Might have to get a exhaust shop to fab up a shorty catted H-pipe, honestly any exhaust shop should be able to manage doing that.
