Hurst short throw shifter installed!!!

I have to say that this is one of the best mods out there for us manual guys/gals. I can't imagine the grin I must have had while test driving it, I had no buzzes, vibes, sounds'clunks or anything else I've reading about on several forums. Got mine for $100 bucks from TINO ON 4.0 COLLECTIVE FORUMS.
Took me about 2 hours between the beer/smoke union breaks.lol!!!!

Enjoy the Hurst. I really love mine and can't believe the improvement over the sloppy stock shifters.

I have heard some say that the shifting actually feels stiffer than stock? What do you think?I still hang on for the mgw,but it's hard to believe anything they are saying anymore..

It is stiffer but definitely gives you the feel of more controlled, precise shifts. The shortness of the throw is amazing! The position of the shifter and the ball are 100x more comfortable imo. I simply could not be any happier with this shifter. Compared to the slop the stock shifter has everyone should test one of these out.

Oh trust me,I've been looking to replace it with the leather wrapped one. Just don't wanna spend a lot of money on it when there's so many other things I want first.

I have a MGW (haven't installed yet) but I loved how the Hurst felt in the Shelby GT I drove.

The Hurst is a short throw shifter. It will take more force to shift than stock. It's simple physics.

The MGW will also take more force if adjusted for really short throws (but the adjustability aspect so you can tune it to your own preferences is really cool)

Myself, I'll be sticking with the Hurst. Works great for me, and I like the look better than the MGW.

Can't justify spending that much for a shifter yet anyway.

Too bad somebody can't develop a shifter that actually puts the shifter in the center of the console opening. I noticed today how far forward the shifter is ... and the hurst looks even more towards the front of the console opening. The pictures I saw of the MGW looks like it may move it back towards the center.

I love that distance, any further back and it would be unusable. I have enough distance to rest my elbow on the armrest then shift
