I have a 2006 v6 SlP Power-Flo Axle-Back Exhaust in and it will only pop sometimes when I’m not even trying but when I try it don’t do I could be doing it wrong? It’s a automatic so any tips?

 

If your referring to the exhaust when the car is decelerating? it will produce either a gurgling type of sound or popping type of sound, depending on what type of exhaust setup your running.. If you happen to be running an X mid-pipe crossover, they usually produce a higher pitched note like a popping type sound on deceleration.. If running an H-pipe mid crossover? these are usually known for producing a deeper pitched, gurgling sound.. If however, your not referring to the exhaust sound during deceleration? then I'm not really certain if we're quite on the same page.. Meanwhile, welcome aboard.

 

I also assume you are talking about exhaust sound pops and gurgles . . . you could try forcing a downshift with the shift lever
(but be careful, don't force the car to downshift if you are going too fast for the gear after the downshift, or it may over-rev the engine)
