Harmonic balancer help

My harmonic balancer separated and I am serving overseas so I t is going to take a week or so before I get a replacement part. My question is will I cause damage to the car if I drive it until I can get it replaced.

When my balancer went out on my old 5.0 the engine shook so badly I could barely drive it. If you're going to drive it keep the rpm's as low as you can ...

I personally wouldn't drive it. I would let the car sit until the new part comes in. You don't want to take a chance of it coming apart and causing any other damage or slinging the belt off.

for sure you cant drive it. when mine started coming apart, the belt frayed and it beat a hole in my hood blanket and heat shield on my egr tube. if you loose the belt, all sorts of problems, all the power stuff plus cooling. ive also seen people wipe out the crank sensors. your suppose to replace the bolt also, $7 bolt at the dealer
