can't get that dude off of there!! I have a 3 bolt and a two "claw" harmonic balancer remover - but I'll be darn if Ford didn't drill holes in the pully so how do I get this darn thing off?

Am I going to have to go purchase a 3 claw puller???

You are going to need a "Professional" grade impact wrench and pulley puller. I borrowed from my local garage.

Waterpump pully is a breeze - just removing 4 bolts.

You definitely need a three-finger pulley for the harmonic balancer on this car. I bought one for $25 because I don't have an Autozone around me or any other "big" autoparts places that rent tools. I'll sell you mine if you can wait for it to get shipped.

Edit: I meant three-finger puller.

Ian - thanks for the offer - but I'm going to do the install tomorrow evening. I did go to Autozone today and he had 2 or 3 different 3 finger pullers - just didn't know which one to use. I'm assuming you attached the fingers to the inside of the pully for removal?

there are 3 **** on the inside of the balancer. you need to pull on them. if you pull on the outside of the balancer you will ruin it.

they make a harmonic balancer installer that should be used. do not use the balancer bolt becausr you can strip the crank out
