Do you mind sharing what kind of deal you got on the GT - 500 brakes. Just curious.

Member, Little Black Pony, did this swap on his 07 V6 recently and it was very easy and straightforward. Brackets and Rotors are all he needed, I believe. He'll likely chime in to verify. He had a thread on the subject you can search for with pictures and such.

You'll answer your own question....dust shields are the same..there is one thing...to go to the GT brakes you have to use 17 inch or larger wheels..16s won't work..CALIPER MOUNTING BRACKET AND ROTORS ARE ALL YOU HAVE TO CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again the amount of help you can get on this site is great. The brakes i got were gts not gt 500s. The car came with the v-6 18's (mercury maruader wheels) were not my first choice but look kinda cool but rest of the car was what i wanted and with rebates an x plan got over 6grand off. the brakes i bought on ebay 35 with shipping. gt calipers with pads and the all important gt brackets. the only part i really needed but these are like $44 a piece from ford. I've heard that the gt 500 brakes sometimes mes up the antilock?
