PR 4.6 Dyno Results
#41
Racer3 , at sea level the air is more dense than at higher elevations. That means there is more oxigen in the charge , since there is more oxigen the car can use more fuel resulting in More Power. Thats why people that run at higher elevations get slower times and use the elevation correction calculator. There are a ton of online calculator where u enter times, conditions, Horsepower etc and the calculator gives you corrections or estimated Ets based on the info u provided. U can learn a lot from these.
Update , i sent my graphs to Rygen this morning, lets see if he got em ok.

Thanks for your help, it just goes to show you can teach an old dog new tricks. You also asked about the racing fuel we used. I finally got ahold of Dan and it was a C14 mixed with my 91 octane. This was a very short controlled run. It would be fun to run it all the time but we all know what would happen - engine go kaboom!!

Hey PR 4.6 the time you ran with your GT, what was the RWHP at the time of the run?

The Gt ran 11.7 @ 118 with a 1.60 60 ft with Et Streets 26 x 10.5 on weld wheels 15 x 10. The car had 428 HP 415 TQ SAE to the wheels at the time, with 12lb of boost. With BFG's G-force drag radials 315/30 R18 on 18 X10.5 AZEV's, which is what i run on the street, the car does 12.1 @118 with 1.72 60ft times. I changed intakes and changed to full slick's, just need a day or 2 at the dyno and i should be all set for some better times.
Rygen , the car had a full Bassani exhaust, the Vortech SQ aftercooled kit at 12lb's, beefed up rear end with 3.73's, LCA/UCA/Shocks,Complete QA1 tubular front suspention, SCT PRP, and a Spec 2 clutch. Since then i have added the P 51 intake from Lake Fox, a Meth Injection kit, slicks and skinnies.I cant wait to try it out.

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 12lb of boost, and now you are adding a meth injection kit w/slicks!!!! Holy crap!
You should definitely beat your last time with that setup. Keep us posted on this one man.
Man, I might have to up the shot to 125, get some DR's and give it a run! I want to work the 100 shot, but I may just have to go 125 this season for sure.

Probably in 2 0r 3 weeks. Thanks..The 00 has been my baby till the 05 came along, its not easy modding 2 cars. I really just bought the 05 for my wife, drove ot the firts 2-3 days we had it and just couldnt bear to hand over the keys, so i got her a 3.5 05 Altima, sold my truck and kept the 05. Iam very happy with both cars and with my decision to keep the sixer.
